What to expect at Theatre Round The Harbour, Brixham Quay - FREE
Brixham’s past is coming to life this month with a series of outdoor performances around the harbour.
‘Theatre Round the Harbour’, celebrating stories from the town’s history ,will take place at points round the quayside every Tuesday evening throughout August
And everyone is welcome as the harbour is transformed by local performers in these FREE events organised by Brixham Theatre.
Stories about the seamen’s boys’ orphanage, the Great Gale of 1866, the bravery of The Provident crew, the landing of Prince William of Orange and the lives of fish hawkers will be enacted along with music from Hooligans Rule and even a chance to learn how to dance the hornpipe!
Each of the six improvised, interactive performances will last about 15 minutes and onlookers can choose how many of the different performances they want to watch throughout the evening.
Theatre Round the Harbour will take place between 6.30 pm (starting just beyond the Prince William) and 9 pm (finishing at The Old Fish Quay) on Tuesday August 4, repeating on August 11, 18 and 25. See the poster for more information.
