What to expect at Author Talk with Kate Furnivall – Historical Fiction
Kate Furnivall’s novels have been translated into more than twenty languages and have appeared on the Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller lists. She has said she never set out to be a writer, and her storytelling was inspired by her grandmother, a White Russian refugee who fled the Bolsheviks into China. Her novels include The Russian Concubine, The White Pearl, The Italian Wife, The Girl from Sorrento, Child of the Ruins and The Crash.
In this afternoon talk she discusses historical fiction, research and the stories behind her books, with time for questions. It takes place in Brixham Library from 2pm to 3:30pm on Wednesday 21 October. Entry is free, but places are limited, so book in advance with the library.
