What to expect at Folklore of Dartmoor – Evening Talk
Dartmoor is one of the richest landscapes for legend in England: phantom hounds, pixies, hairy hands, cursed tors and ghostly travellers have all found their way into the stories told about the moor for centuries. Many have been collected by folklorists and continue to shape the way people see the moor today.
This F.A.B. 2026 talk explores those tales just before Halloween, in the library on Market Street. It starts at 7:15pm on Friday 23 October. Tickets are £5 for library members and £6 for non-members, and places must be booked in advance through Brixham Library.
