Hosted by Brixham Heritage Museum
20 October 2026 at 19:00 — ends 20 October 2026 at 21:00
An evening of dynamic life drawing with Brixham artist Mark Bell at Brixham Heritage Museum. £20, booking essential.
What to expect at Dynamic Life Drawing with Mark Bell
Mark Bell is a contemporary painter who lives and works in Brixham. Originally from Newcastle, he studied Fashion & Design at Central Saint Martins before moving to Devon in 2007, and his expressive figurative work – inspired by musicians, dancers and movement – ranges from naturalistic to boldly graphic. His studio is at A Kick Up The Arts on Bolton Street.
Dynamic life drawing focuses on capturing energy and gesture rather than a static pose: short, lively poses encourage fast, confident mark-making. The session runs from 7pm to 9pm on Tuesday 20 October in the museum’s Old Police Station building on New Road. It costs £20 and booking is essential; Mark also leads a Detailed Figure Drawing session at AKUTA later in the festival.
